#1 Campaigning Starts Before Launching Your Campaign

Make sure to have all of your social media channels in order with  a healthy dose of followers. And not the type of followers you buy for quantity, but the quality type. Find and connect with those that really strike a cord as your target audience, these are the ones that will help you get off to a good start. If you haven’t already, sign up to the biggest social websites surrounding your market right now. This is one of, if not the biggest piece of advice I can give when starting your campaign. Having these social media channels in place will increase your traffic volume which can help your popularity.

#2 Ask Your Followers for Feedback

Be sure to ask your social groups whether it be on forums, blogs, facebook, twitter, G+ what they think of your campaign. Ask for any tweaks they recommend and what they love and don’t like about your project. Do they like the video? Would they click on the video? Is the reward price too high? This type of data is priceless (and free) which you can use to tweak your product and your promotional efforts. This will go a long way in your campaign funding.

#3 Invest in Content Marketing

Invest in content marketing. A few dollars here can stretch if you don’t have the time nor know how to submit quality content on the web. Submitting a press release for your campaign is a great way to kick start your campaign and getting the word out. Word of mouth travels fast and this is one way you can increase your footprint around the web. In addition, submitting a press release also means having journalists, bloggers and other prominent members of the media will get a look at your product. If just one of these journalists from a popular website picks up your story, then chances are you’ll see some huge traffic spikes as well as funding for your campaign.
